Junior Inter-Club Championship Information
Wednesday, 8/3/22 - Sunday, 8/7/22
The Junior Inter-Club Championship ends the summer season with an annual competition between the following teams:
- Detroit Golf Club
- Forest Hills Swim & Tennis Club
- Island Lake of Novi
- Meadowbrook Country Club
- Oak Pointe Country Club
- Plum Hollow Country Club
- Red Run Golf Club
- Walnut Creek Country Club
- Western Golf & Country Club
All Junior Tennis Team players are encouraged to participate in the Inter-Club Championship over a 5-day stretch of matches that ends with a dinner and dance. The exact playing schedule depends on numbers but usually looks like this: U6/U8 possibly opens on Wednesday, doubles on Thursday, singles on Friday and finals on Saturday. The championships are made up of 2 rounds and then quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.
The weekend ends with all of the teams coming together on Sunday for a fun night of dancing, awards and dinner. It is the highlight of the season for the players and their families, and one not to be missed! Each team prepares a dance competition complete with song selection, choregraphy and props- the crazier, the better... it's a blast! ALL Junior Tennis Team players and their families are invited and encouraged to attend, whether or not the players participated in the Championship.
