All City Updates and Second Harvest Donations
Happy Fourth of July Everyone!
I hope everyone is enjoying a long, meet-free weekend! Despite having no Saturday meet, there is a lot of activity happening in the background that everyone should be aware of.
First off, we are still in need of All-City volunteers. A heartfelt thanks goes out to all the Shark families who have already fulfilled their obligations, some of whom have gone above and beyond their 3 shifts to volunteer at All-City. If you haven't completed the requirements, All-City volunteering represents your last chance to avoid the $300 buyout fee. Here is the link to sign up for the remaining shifts. https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/1076970240083/false#/invitation. Please note that Junior Coaches and older swimmers are also eligible to volunteer at All-City and can count this time towards volunteer requirements for clubs and school. A win/win for sure!
Don't forget to sign up by midnight on Wednesday for the Ridgewood meet! While you are at it, it's time to do some accounting (not my forte, but bear with me!). Has your swimmer completed an individual event in 3 meets this summer? Please recall that this is a requirement in order to participate in All-City.
You or your swimmer may notice some new kickboards and pull buoys in use by the swim team...these represent your registration and fundraising dollars at work! Thank you to our Boosters for recognizing a need and getting it done!
Finally, congrats to our older swimmers and divers who are rocking it by completing countless volunteer hours in support of Second Harvest. Now it's time for the Shark parents to step up and complete their donation towards this fantastic organization. I just did and I feel great about it. Want to feel great too? Go Sharks!
