All City Tours/Whooping Cough Awareness

Kathryn Kuehn

Hello Sharks!

I wanted to give everyone a few heads up regarding information I have learned from Shorewood the last two days.

First, the parent tours that will be taking place at warm ups will be held on the hour (or about 5 past the hour so people have time to gather), so you'll want to take that in to account based on what time your kiddos age group warms up on Sunday- if your kiddo has a later warm up it is ok to do the 3pm tour with whatever team is warming up during that hour.

* WHOOPING COUGH (pertussis) Awareness*

Public Health Madison and Dane County (PHMDC) reached out to Shorewood Hills (since Shorewood Hills is hosting All-City Swim) to make them aware of an increasing number of cases of whooping cough (pertussis) in Dane County. They want to ensure families and staff are aware ahead of the All-City swim meet 8/1 – 8/3 in order for  swimmers and families to take steps and precautions to protect themselves. PHMDC encourages anyone who has pertussis-like symptoms to stay home and talk with their health care provider.

Stay healthy and please reach out if you have any additional questions/concerns,
