Weekly Head Coach Email 6/8

Andrew Cotton
Hey Sharks!

I hope everyone is doing well with the school year winding down. Here are some updates for this week.

Swim Practices This Week
  • Normal evening swim practices on Monday, and no practice on Tuesday due to the pizza party
  • Here is a link to the practice schedule.
  • No Shark Bites Practices until Wednesday, June 11th.
  • Morning practices start Wednesday, June 11th.
Pizza Party Tuesday!
  • This Tuesday we will be having our pizza party. The coaches/board will introduce themselves, and this is a great opportunity to ask questions and get to know everyone who will be on the team this year. Apparel will also be distributed at this event.
  • Location: Seminole Pool
  • Time: 5:30pm
  • Weather: Should we have storms, we will be moving inside to the Fitchburg Library. If this occurs, we will let everyone know via email/social media as soon as possible.
  • Sign-Up: If you are able, please sign up to help out on our website. Here is a link to the sign up, and learn more.
Seminole at High Point Swim Meet
  • At this dual meet, a quick heads up to please refrain from talking to the officials and meet referees unless it is absolutely necessary. They are hard at work trying to make sure the meet runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. If you have any questions about events, times, or anything else, please talk to the coaches first.
  • Additionally, this weekend I went and changed over the meet files so they would represent the event changes for this year. The only changes are for 15-19's. They can now choose the 100 fly or the 50 fly and the 100 IM or the 200 IM, but not both IMs and not both fly events. Also, the meet file I uploaded also has unified events, so unless you are a unified swimmer, please do not sign up for events 212, 214, or 222.
  • Please make sure to allow plenty of time to park and walk to the pool before warm-ups. High Point does not have a lot of parking. All coaches ask that your swimmer be at their respective warm-up times.
  • Finally, if you cannot make relays, please note in the comment section.
  • Date of Meet: 6/14/25
  • Sign-up Deadline: 6/11/25 at 11:59 pm
