Hey Sharks! 

 

Great job at the meet this weekend at the dive and swim meets! Below are the results from the meet, as well as more information about our first home meet and an invite we will be participating in. Happy Father's Day to all Shark Dads!

Important to know: 

  • Coach Andrew will be out of town from June 20th to June 24th, which includes the Ridgewood Dual meet. While I am gone, you can reach out with questions, but please know I will not be able to respond as quickly as I normally do. I encourage you to reach out to Kathryn Kuehn and Genna Zenner, or Emma Neumann, who will be the coach in charge while I am out. 

Seminole at High Point Swim Meet- Results

  • Awesome job at our first meet! The energy was amazing and I loved seeing all our sharks supporting one another! Keep it up!

High Point Invite!

  • Seminole will be participating in the High Point Invitational this summer on Wednesday, July 16th. Below is the information as well as a few important things to note.

  • The deadline to sign up is June 19th at 11:59 pm.

  • Since they have not sent me the meet file yet, please indicate Yes or No, and what you would like to swim. Everyone will swim normal events and 13-14's will swim 50's of stroke plus 100 IM. 

  • Each team can only send 75 swimmers. This will be on a first-come, first-served basis, and the entries will close once all 75 have signed up. If there are more interested, I will create a waitlist and notify you if something changes.

Seminole v. Ridgewood Dual Meet

  • At this dual meet, a quick heads up to please refrain from talking to the officials and meet referees unless it is necessary. They are working hard to ensure the meet runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. If you have any questions about events, times, or anything else, please talk to the coaches first.

  • The meet file for this year includes the new 15-19 event and unified events, so unless you are a unified swimmer, please do not sign up for those events. Those events consist of the Open 25 Free, Open 50 Free, and Open 50 Back. 

  • Finally, if you cannot make relays or something comes up, please let Emma know as soon as possible. 

  • Clerk of Course: 

    Reminder for Seminole Swimmers:

    • 8 and under and the 9-10 relays: please find your relay team and first and then come together to the clerk of course. Seminole swimmers clerk their relays in the splash pool.

    • 11-12 and 13o: please do not hang out in the clerk of course area. If you would like to wait for your heat in a space that is close to the starting blocks, a great place is in the grassy fenced-in area to the right of the clerk of course.

     

  • Date of Meet: 6/21/25

  • Deadline to sign up: 6/18/25 at 11:59 pm.

  • Location: Seminole Pool

  • Meet Start: 8 am 

  • Warm-Ups: 

  • 8 and unders/Shark Bites: 7-7:15 am

  • 9-10's: 7:15-7:30 am 

  • 11-12's: 7:30-7:40 am

  • 13 and ups: 7:40-7:50 am 

Team Cheer: 7:50 am by the shallow end

Junior Coaching Schedule

  • This will be sent out tomorrow and will start on Wednesday. I apologize for the delay. 

13 and ups!

  • If you are a senior, please go fill out the Senior Info form on the All-City website. 

  • We are going to start a group me account for the 13 and ups, so I can communicate information to y'all in a more efficient manner, especially early in the morning when there is potential for cancellation. Here is the link. Kathryn Kuehn will be in the groupme chat to help me manage it. If there is any messing around going on in the chat, I will remove the swimmer from the group me. Here is the link to it. 

Volunteering at Badger Prairie Needs

  • If you are 12 and older, please consider volunteering with us this summer at Badger Prairie Needs. Head to our website to sign up under the events section. 

All-City Information

  • I know All-City does not start for another 46 days, but there is still some important info to know. Below is that info. 

  • Please let your teams know about Ian's Pizza night on Tuesday, June 24.  All proceeds from all Ian's locations will go to Second Harvest as part of a charitable partnership between All-City Swim and Dive and Second Harvest.  Enjoy great pizza for a great cause--what could be easier than that? Here is the flyer describing the event.

  • Finally, a link to purchase the flower yard signs (replacement for ground graphics) should be live on the All-City Website by Wednesday, June 18th.  Orders are due by Tuesday, July 8, 2025.  Please let me know if you or your swim families have any questions about these. Flower yard signs will be replacing group graphics and are something that you can take home after the All-City swim meet.
