About the Pirates Swim Team
The STC Pirates are part of the Midlakes Swim League. Our swim and dive teams average upwards of 150 kids every year between the ages of 4 and 18. Competitive swimming and diving are great activities for youths, as it keeps them active and allows them the opportunity to develop friendships at the Club. Besides, it's fun!
If your child has never participated in any Swim Team program, you may want to consider our Lil' Pirates program. It is a great way to introduce our youngest swimmers to an organized swim activity that is still fun! 4 & 5 year olds who can swim the length of the pool (25 yards) are invited to turn out.
About Midlakes Swim League
Midlakes Swim League has been providing local youth with competitive aquatic opportunities since 1954. It has grown to include 26 private clubs in the greater Seattle and Eastside regions ranging from Renton to the South, Kirkland to the north, Seattle to the west and Issaquah to the east. Over 3,000 athletes compete from late May thru August in swimming, diving and water polo competitions. Using guidelines and standards from USS swimming, U.S. Diving, AAU (Amateur Athletic Union), and United States Water Polo, athletes are not only mastering aquatic skills but life skills in sportsmanship, community, character and confidence. Midlakes attributes its enthusiastic and committed volunteers for the success of the League over its 50-year history.
