The American Cancer Society's Swim for Cancer began in 1973 and has since become a tradition in the Greensboro swimming community. Each year over 2,000 young swimmers from summer swim programs within the Community Swim Association of Greensboro gather at their pools to raise money for the American Cancer Society's Swim for Cancer campaign. Swim For Cancer is the largest fund-raising swimming event in the country and the American Cancer Society’s longest running fundraiser of any kind! Over the years, the fundraising effort has raised over an estimated four million dollars in the fight against cancer.

Our Pinetop Piranhas had a great turnout last year for Swim For Cancer. Even as a smaller club, we were in the top 10 of participating teams.

Save the date for a morning swim event on Saturday, June 21st,  from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. More details coming soon!

If you can't attend the event for your swimmer to swim their laps, you can still sign up to raise money for our team's donation to Swim for Cancer.
