1. REGISTER FOR THIS WEEKEND'S FIRST (AWAY) MEET

First, be sure to sign in/out your swimmer(s). This helps both teams ensure the event runs as smoothly as possible.

 

Also, JOBS. We need ya, parents! Please sign up here: 

 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS TODAY.

 

Note: if you do not register by the end of the day today, it means Coach Richard and/or Korey may track you down. Please don't make them do extra work. We need to save their energy for practices and meets!

 

Other important info:

 

  • Pool address: Elk Grove Aquatics Center at 9701 Big Horn Blvd, Elk Grove
  • Gates open at 6:30 AM. Please use the front entrance only.
  • Visiting team (that's us!) warm up between 7:50 and 8:20 AM.
  • National Anthem @ 8:30 AM
  • The start is approximately 8:40/8:45 AM
  • The 6-lane pool and the pool with the slides are completely off-limits.
  • Snack Bar: We will have a snack bar available for breakfast, lunch, drinks, snacks, etc.

PRO TIP: Write down your kids' times and post them in a prominent location in the house. They're a great motivator in the early season as swimmers get into shape and practice better technique. Get ready to watch those times drop.

 

3. RIO DEL ORO SPRING INVITATIONAL, MAY 24

If you haven't already, please sign your swimmer(s) in/out of the Rio Del Oro Spring Invitational meet on May 24. This event will be held at -— you guessed it — Rio del Oro.

4. TIME TRIALS: RECAP

What. A. Day. Perfect weather. Some great swims. And how about you all — our incredible volunteers? Give yourselves a round of applause.

 

 

Note: Future meets will run significantly tighter. We intentionally slowed this one down to work out the kinks and ensure new parents and swimmers started to get comfortable with the flow.

 

5. REMINDER TO REGISTER FOR THE SWIM SEASON

If you haven't already, please register for the upcoming season ASAP. The clock is ticking. You have until June 16 to make it happen. Please and thank you.

8. RAPIDS SUITS UPDATE

Suits are ordered, but they are not quite ready. We hope (fingers crossed) they'll be ready for the Spring Invitational (May 24). They'll ship to the club, and we'll distribute them shortly thereafter.
