Richard Levin, Head Coach

Coach Richard has led the Rio del Oro Rapids to swim fast and have a blast for over 25 years!  Richard loves to nurture our youngest swimmers and introduce them to the joys of swimming.  Richard's favorite stroke is the butterfly, and his hobbies include chasing around his three children and trying not to get injured. During the summer, Richard may be available for private lessons.  Feel free to reach out and ask.  

Korey Geist, Associate Head Coach

Coach Korey came home to the Rio del Oro Rapids in 2022, holding one of the oldest Rio del Oro Rapids records - the 9/10 boys backstroke record of 15.71 from 2004.  Coach Korey came back to the Rapids after working with San Jose State University as a football recruiter and a Recruiting Coordinator at Google. Korey's favorite stroke is backstroke because, duh. Korey may be available for private lessons. Feel free to ask when you see him on the pool deck.  

Emily Collins, Assistant Coach

Coach Emily is a PE teacher at a local middle school and provides our coaching staff with a ton of swim knowledge and experience! Emily was a decorated swimmer in our league, competing with the Glen Oaks Sea Lions. We're happy to have her as a Rapid now!  

Alexis Bunfill, Assistant Coach

Coach Alexis is a Rapids lifer! She competed with the Rapids and still owns several team records. Now, she's a team parent and a positive force on our coaching staff!

Haydn Debencik, Assistant Coach

Coach Haydn swam for 13 years and has been coaching for 2. His hobbies are playing video games, traveling, and spending time in nature. His favorite stroke is breaststroke. If you're interested in private lessons, find Haydn on the pool deck to chat.  

Emil Rea, Assistant Coach

Coach Emil swam for 14 years with the Rapids! Emil, a graduate of Jesuit High School, now studies computer science at ARC! His favorite strokes are breaststroke and butterfly, and he loves to swim when he's not coaching each age group! If you're interested in private lessons, find Emil on the pool deck to chat.
