--------
🔔 REMINDERS 🔔
1. While we love seeing so many of you hanging poolside on Fridays for practice, and we welcome help with setup, only those signed up for official volunteer shifts will receive credit. We print nametags before the shift date, so please ensure you are officially signed up before then to receive your badge of honor (and your shift credit).
2. One of our swim parents has kindly provided an "age group parent briefing" on Saturday morning. If you are doing this job this weekend — or plan to in the future — please be sure to attend these briefings. Please please please be sure to show up for your shift on time. Someone once said, "If you are not 5 minutes early to a meeting, you are late."
3. If you happen to grab someone else's swim stuff, please make sure to return it to the office or the club's lost and found.
4. Timers and stroke and turn folks: Please attend the pre-meet briefing, even if you are volunteering for the second shift. NOTE: Volunteers must attend timing and stroke & turn meetings at away meets also!

Second, JOBS. Parents. You are needed, even at away meets! Please sign up here.
THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS TODAY (Tuesday, 6/10, by the end of the day).
Essential information from the Sunrise Sharks << as of the time of this writing, the website was not working. Please keep trying!
2. MORNING PRACTICE STARTS MONDAY, JUNE 16
Morning practice will start next week, Monday, June 16. Please tap or click here to see the full schedule. A few important notes about the summer practice schedule.
First, AM dryland is only T/W/Th. Second, if you (or your swimmer) want to move up in an age group for morning practice, they must have prior approval from Coach Korey or Richard. And third, yes, there is afternoon makeup practice, but only on T/W/Th. Again, please tap or click here to see the full schedule.
3. SUMMER KICKOFF PASTA POTLUCK: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18, FROM 6 TO 9 PM
It's Summer Kickoff Pasta Potluck time! A true Rapids tradition is just around the corner, Wednesday, June 18, from 6-9 PM (note: we will not hold evening practice).
We will gather under our amazing team tents on the pool deck at the 8-lane pool!
Rapids will provide the tunes, the fun, the laughs, and the basics (serving utensils, plates, napkins, and silverware) and YOU — yes, YOU will bring your favorite dish from your assigned category below, beverages for your family (this is a BYOB event), and, of course, whatever you need for swimming fun in the big pool!
Last names A - G - Dessert
Last names H - S - Pasta
Last names T - Z - Salad
Be on the lookout for Coach Richard's famous pasta dish, a definite fan favorite!
We always need a few fabulous Rapids parents to help set things up starting at 4:30 and clean up when the food runs out.
4. TRI MEET: RECAP
With over 400 swimmers, we stayed on track and wrapped up around 2 PM — a huge thanks to our deck crew and volunteers for keeping things moving smoothly, even when our copier went down. We really appreciate our age group parents for their patience and flexibility in operating without paper copies.
Ensuring every swimmer knows their event, heat, and lane assignments remains a top priority at every meet.
5. SATURDAY, JUNE 21 AWAY MEET AT LAGUNA CREEK GATORS
Now is the time to start thinking about our 6/21 AWAY meet at the Sunrise Sharks
Sign in/out here + jobs << Jobs open Thursday at 8 PM.
6. FINAL REMINDER TO REGISTER FOR THE SWIM SEASON
If you haven't already, please register for the upcoming season ASAP. The clock is ticking. You have until June 15 — the FINAL FINAL day to register at Rio del Oro and NCSL.
P.S. If your swimmer is hoping to qualify for Champs, they must swim in at least two league meets ... and be registered to swim with Rio del Oro and NCSL.
