Barracudas Presidents

Our first dual meet of the 2025 season is coming up on Thursday, June 12. We are excited to be heading to Brookdale! Please see below for all meet information for Thursday.

Location / Address: Brookdale Pool / 1625 Brookdale Road, Naperville, IL 60563, USA

Parking: On-street parking in the neighborhood.

Gates Open: 4:30pm

Positive Check-In Deadline: 4:45pm

If you are running late, please phone a friend to check-in. Swimmers not checked in by 4:45pm will be scratched

Warm-Up: 4:45pm (starting age groups: 6 and under and 7-8s)

Meet Start: 5:30pm

Concessions Available: Burgers, hot dogs, pizza, chips, candy, snacks, and beverages. Cash and credit cards will be accepted.

Angie Strong & Super Hero Night: This is a special evening designated as Super Hero & Angie Strong Night. Come as your favorite supe rhero and join us in honoring Brookdale’s own super hero, Angie Beran. In March 2019, Angie was diagnosed with HER2+ breast cancer. After a 1.5 year battle, it was discovered that it became metastatic. From that point forward, she made sure she lived life to the fullest and made as many memories as she could with her husband, Matt, and their three kids (Bucs swimmers). In July 2021, we had to say goodbye to Angie. This meet is one small way that we ensure her beautiful spirit lives on.

It's Angie Strong swim cap night! Pink "Angie Strong" caps will be available for purchase at concessions and prior to the start of the June 12th meet at the gate entrance. Caps are $10 each (cash only) with net proceeds benefiting the Matt & Angie Beran Community Trust. Angie Strong bracelets will also be available for $10 each. The Foundation helps kids that have an Angel for a parent to stay in their sports and activities.

Swim Meet Checklist:

Swimsuit, swim caps (buy an Angie Strong cap as well!), goggles, towels, sunscreen/bug spray, dry clothes, shoes, tent/blanket, SHARPIES, and all the BARRACUDAS GOOD VIBES

Event Numbers

Events are finalized and can be viewed for Thursday. Can’t remember how to view them? Here is your reminder. Please make sure you have written your swimmer’s event numbers on their hands/arms before leaving the house or on a piece of paper so they can write it on their own at the meet. We will have blue clipboards at the swimmer check in showing the swimmer’s names and event numbers. Again we don’t have enough coaches or sharpies to write numbers down for all 174 swimmers on our team. Keep in mind, relays can change at the last minute due to scratches or other changes beyond our control.
