2026 Private Lessons
Private lessons are a great way to slow down, set goals, build relationships, and reinforce the drills & skills needed to grow as a swimmer. Coaches are not magicians. Private lessons are not supplemental for practice, nor are they truly effective without consistency. Recurring lessons are essential for our Coaches to inspire and give necessary positive energy and individual attention that young athletes need.
Lessons will be offered by various members of our Senior Coaching staff during Spring, Summer, and Fall. More availability will open up as additional staff returns on deck for Summer. Our coaches are committed to providing 1:1 coaching time to all those who are interested, and will work together to make that happen as best as they can. We ask that our swim team families also commit to that as well, by adhering to one lesson per swimmer per week. Families with young swimmers in learn-to-swim stage should schedule lessons 2x/week to see progress. Please see note at end* regarding lessons of OMPA Championships week.
* OMPA Week Lessons
The week of OMPA Championships is a week we actively choose to taper the swimming and store the mental & physical energy for fast swims at the meet. Practices will be shorter - it is by design. Coach Kyle's directive to all coaches is that OMPA week lessons should be focused on race plans and meet goals to instill confidence. The swimmers should not be changing technique nor practicing their races all out.
If you would like to schedule an OMPA week lesson, please do so with your swimmer’s Age Group coaches.
