Two league records were broken this weekend: Piedmont's Camille Spink set a new mark in the 15-18 Girls 100 IM of 1:02.96; Wellington's Lionel Martinez has a new record in the 11-12 Boys 50 Free of 27.38. Computer reps can find the new records file in the "Computer Support" tab inside the league website. The pwswim.org live results site recently suffered a hack. We are close to regaining full control of the site for meet-day live results. As of right now HERE is a PDF of all the times in...

Welcome back to PWSL summer swim for 2022! We're all thrilled to finally have all 24 teams back in the pool and competing. For a sense of where the league is at, here's a comparison with last year and pre-COVID. Note that week 1 this year fell on the same day or the day after a lot of high school graduations and before school dismissed for summer. I'm interested to see what the end of season numbers look like as more kids finish spring sports and get in the pool....

The PWSL's most unusual season yet ended with some nailbiters across the league's divisional meets. First place in the white division was decided by just 13 points, and Westridge won yellow division over Victory Lakes by 128 points. There were more close battles for second place, as Red, Blue, and Purple divisions all had less than 100 points separating second and third. League-wide, over 3000 swimmers participated in divisionals, 700 fewer than pre-pandemic 2019. 45% of swims were faster than their seed time. 16 teams beat 82 team records, and...

Apologies for the week 6 news not being sent out in a timely manner; the summary sheet was not ready before we were aready deep into divisionals prep. Here's the usual week 6 documents, for sake of historical completeness. Week 7 wrapup will be sent shortly. All meets this season are being sent to Reachforthewall.org and being uploaded to the site. All league results for Week 6. Please see the updated summary sheet for an overview of all the meets. The Top 25 individual times and Top 15 Relays of...

Just one more regular meet left before divisionals! It was a relatively quiet week in the PWSL, with no league records broken, but 31 team records were still broken among 13 teams. In the closest meet of the week, Piedmont took down division rival Sudley by 252 points, to become the league's only team with a perfect record. Lake Manassas lost their first meet swimming up a division with Old Bridge. This week should see lots of fine-tuning for divisional meets, as every team swims outside their divisions. Computer reps:...

Apologies for the lateness of this week's news; one team's virtual meet was rained out and had to be completed after the weekend. This week's blue division showdown came down to the wire, with Sudley beating the Bridlewaves by 59 points in the closest meet of the week. Two other meets were decided by less than 200 points, including the only upset of the week, Meadowbrook swimming up two divisions to take down Ridgewood by 173 points. Piedmont remains the league's only undefeated team, and their meet once again saw...

We're already halfway through the PWSL regular season, with three meets down and three to go before divisionals. In an eventful week that saw at least 30 new team records - 10 at Southbridge alone - we saw three league records fall this week, all at the same pool: Piedmont's Camille Spink set a new standard of 25.67 in Girls 15-18 Freestyle, then came back later in the morning and notched another league mark of 27.90 in Butterfly. In between, her Tsunami teammate Alyssa Sagle achieved a new league record...

Good evening all - Apologies for the lateness in sending out the week 2 update; we hope everyone had an enjoyable Father's Day. I'm John, I'm the computer/league rep for Montclair and I've been working with Tony on computer support this season - it's been an enjoyable challenge and I look forward to talking with more of you. My kids' meet this weekend ran very smoothly compared to our virtual meet week 1, and I hope most of you had the same experience. We're aware of an issue where some...

June 13, 2021 Welcome to the long awaited 2021 swim season. I personally was unable to be on deck this weekend and can only image the faces of the swimmers, parents, volunteers and officials to finally be back at the pool. I know what it looked like at time trials. I saw so many happy faces out and about. This year the meets are running very different in many aspects. We have teams that are swimming 100% virtual and some teams running live. We have many meets preseeded and some...

WOW is all I can say for the meets this year. I would like to say this year was the tightest meets I had seen overall. All eight divisions were decided by 472 points or less between first and second place with the tightest being just 87 points. We had 3 divisions with a difference of only 788.5 points between first and third place with the yellow division only 314.5 points total in difference. Congrats to all teams on a great season. So how did the swimmers do you ask?...
