Of the 9776 splashes 3552 were personal best. This averages out to an increase of speed by 36%.With the heat we did not see any league records go down...

And now we have one regular season meet remaining. In week 5 we had three inter divisional fights this weekend that turned into a true brawl. In the green division we had Brookside take on Westridge. Westridge was able to hold off Brookside by only 116 points. The next closest meet of the week goes to Virginia Oaks vs Meadowbrook. This was a hard fight battle with Virginia Oaks holding off a late meet serge by Meadowbrook to take the victory by a margin of just 20 points. And if you...

Week 4 is now in the books. We had one of the closest weeks of scores across the league. There were seven meets decided by 400 points or less. The tightest meet of the week goes to a divisional match up between Kingsbrooke and Wellington of the white division. Kingsbrooke held off Wellingion by only 109 points. Speaking of divisional match ups, Lake Manassas pulled out a win against Ben Lomond by 262 points and Sudley followed suit by edging out Braemar by 339. All three of these will be...

We are now half way through the season with just three meets before divisionals remaining. The weather proved that summer is officially here as it was hot. This seemed to hold off PWSL records being broken this week. But that is not saying we did not have a lot of fast swims this week. We had 19 teams break 46 team records this weekend. With 42% of the times being improvements this week. To put this in perspective, there was 4567 splashes that beat a swimmers seed time!!!!!!!!! That is...

Second week of the swim season is in the books. Piedmont's swimmer, Camille Spink, edged out a new PWSL record in the girl's 13-14 freestyle with a new time of 26.87. Within the team records, we had 36 team records broken across 16 diffenent teams. We even had one tie for a record that was from 1981. I am pretty sure that will fall next weekend. Finally, the last improvement came from www.pwswim.org. My computer developement team has worked many hours this week with the new website. This week, the...

Welcome to the 2019 swim season. The weather was cool for the start of the season. For one swimmer the season started off with a bang. Piedmont's swimmer, Camille Spink, edged out a new PWSL record in the girl's 13-14 back stroke with a new time of 29.84. Unfortunately, due to some computer issues I am unable to give the total team records broken this weekend. I want to bring everybody up to speed as far as the results site. There is a new site that we are working on...

WOW is all I can say for the meets this year. First off congratulations Piedmont. Piedmont went undefeated this year and won the blue division. Only 509.5 points separated first through third place in the blue division and this was no where close to the tightest race this weekend.. Bridlewood pulled out the win in the red division by only 120 points to win the red division. The red division also won the race for the closest over all meet of the weekend with 346.5 points separating first and third....

The regular season dual meets are complete, next up divisionals!!!! This is where are the practice meets of the season come to an end and the best swims for most will show. Thankfully the weather held off this Saturday for most. There were two meets that did not get a chance to hold the freestyle relays. However they did complete all the individual events giving every swimmer a chance for that one last swim before divisionals. We had one undefeated team this year for the dual meets,.congratulations to Piedmont. Prince...

And then there was one regular season meet remaining. Week 5 has officially had the closest meet of the season. Montclair swam up two divisions this week and just fell short of pulling the upset out. Old Bridge was able to hold Montclair off by only 20 points. We had three inter divisional meets this weekend, two of which were decided by 251 points or less. Dale City held out against Meadowbrook by 251 points and Piedmont was able to hold off Bridlewood with only a 184 point difference. With...

Week 4 is now in the books. It almost felt like the first week of the season with the cool chill in the early morning. So cool I saw lots of swimmers breaking out the jackets and parkas. Once the sun was fully up the day was probably the best I have seen this season. Not too hot thankfully. A few kids will agree that today was a great day as both an individual and relay PWSL record fell and 3545 splashes were faster than their seed times out of...
