MEETS
Meet details can be found on our Calendar, including where:
- swimmers can Commit to a Swim Meet
- volunteers can sign up for their job(s)
- participants and attendees can find the location of the swim meet
What to Expect
Over the course of the season, our team will both host and participate in several swim meets. There will be both dual meets, competing with one other team, and tri meats, competing with two other teams. A typical dual meet lasts 5-6 hours, tri meets last 1-2 hours longer. Teams that have smaller pools with fewer lanes also tend to result in longer meet times, as the number of swimmers per heat is limited.
Generally, each swimmer will participate in 2-4 events per meet. The rest of the time, swimmer are cheering on their teammates, spending time with their buddies, and building friendships with fellow swimmers.
Some families opt to bring tents to provide shade and a landing spot for kids and belongings, but there usually isn't room for all families to have their own tent. We suggest that a few families coordinate to share a tent. It's a great way to get to know other families and get some quality time together. People who want to make sure they get a tent spot should plan to arrive significantly before the swimmers check-in time.
Important safety details for all individuals at all swim facilities: do not run or play catch on the pool deck, never climb the lifeguard chairs, stay off the pool cover reels, and absolutely NO GLASS on premises.
