Coach Diana has been coaching for over 12 years and has served as the Head Age Group Coach at FAST, a Lead Age Group Coach at PKWY, Head Coach at the Kirkwood-Webster YMCA, and Head Coach of the Lindgate Gators Summer Swim Team. She believes that competitive swimming provides young people the opportunity to build confidence, grow self-esteem, develop athleticism, learn the foundational skills of a life-long sport, make friends, find community, have fun and establish a love for this awesome sport! Diana grew up swimming in Hartford, Connecticut as a child and then later in Grand Rapids, Michigan for Middle School and High School. She continued her swimming career at Kalamazoo College in Michigan, competing all four years, while also pursuing a degree in Biology & Fine Art. She is excited to be joining the coaching staffing the Riptides, as this team holds a special place in her heart. Her older two children, Bryce and Owen, have been members of the Riptides for the last several years and have built some of their closest friendships through the team. Her youngest child, Sloane, will be thrilled to return this year as an even louder and more energetic preschool cheerleader for the team. In addition to her three kids, you may see her husband Mitch on the pool deck, most likely trying to keep Sloane out of the water. Coach Diana looks forward to the start of the season and getting to know all the wonderful Riptide families.
