Swim Meet Information
Meet Attendance
All swimmers will declare participation for each meet through this website's registration system. Without declaration, swimmers’ names will be pulled from the available entry list. Please be considerate of the entire team. Our coaches have a limited amount of time to make last minute changes. Swimming relays are held throughout the course of every meet. One missing swimmer can result in an entire relay team not being able to compete. This applies to all meets, including SSA Championships.
Draft of Meet Line-up
The morning of each meet, a rough draft of the meet line-up will be posted on the team bulletin boards. Always recheck heat sheets at the meet to verify no changes were made! Arrive at the meet in time for warm-ups. Meet warm-up times depend on whether it’s a dual or a tri-meet:
Dual Meets
Host Team - shall warm-up from 5:30pm-5:50pm.
Visitor Team - shall warm-up from 5:55pm-6:15pm.
Tri-Meets
Host Team - shall warm-up from 5:30pm-5:45pm.
Visitor Team A - (whichever visitor team is alphabetically first when listed by club name) shall warm-up from 5:45pm-6:00pm.
Visitor Team B - (whichever visitor team is alphabetically second when listed by club name) shall warm-up from 6:00pm-6:15pm.
Warm-ups must end at 6:15 with the meets scheduled to start at 6:30.
Bake Sale
Please bring baked goods, small bags of snacks, fruit, etc. to our home meets. This is a fundraiser for our team.
Volunteering
Check in with the team's volunteer check-in person if you are scheduled to work.
Supervision
Supervise your children, especially 8 & unders, and help them get to their event/lane on time. Begin lining up two events ahead. Please be aware that some events have multiple heats, while others have only one. A lane parent will be behind each of our assigned lanes with a heat sheet to confirm your child is in the correct lane and heat.
Bring a Sharpie marker to write your child’s events on his/her hand.
Example:
E(vent) – 4, H(eat) – 2, L(ane) – 3, Stroke – Fly would be written as
E4 - H2 - L3 - Fly
Bullpen - Relay Coordinators
Will be run for the 12 and under relays only. Have your child report to the bullpen immediately following the National Anthem (freestyle relay) and/or when the butterfly events have begun (medley relay).
Important Items to Bring to Meet
Items to remember to bring are a swim cap, goggles, extra towels, warm clothes for cooler evenings, snacks, money for grill & bake sale, blankets and/or chairs for additional seating, bug spray.
Day After Meet
Ribbons will be available for pick up in the ribbon file boxes. If your child does not receive a ribbon for an event, please see coaches for details.
