Woodcrest Swim Team 2025

Now in our 69^th year of operation, Woodcrest Swim Club offers great value with 3 pools, 5 acres of expansive grounds, an amazing swim team, sports and social activities for all ages.  And don't forget our large competition pool is heated!

Head Coach Ian and his 2 new Assitant Coaches (Katie and Michael) will be back for another exciting swim season!  We have some fantastic ideas for teaming events and great pep rallys and cannot wait to share them with the team. This year, our goal is to develop a positive and team centric culture where our kids have tons of fun but also learn the value of committment, hardwork, and sportsmanship.  We will be doing some strarts and turn clinics this season as well.  

The swim team is a fantastic benefit of joining Woodcrest Swim Club; it is more than just participating in a sport, swimming offers so many more benefits that extend beyond the pool. Whether your child is a beginner or experienced swimmer, joining the swim team will have many positive imapacts on your child's life as it fosters camaraderie and teamwork which will become even more important as they mature into adults.  Our kids train and compete alongside fellow swimmers to develop a sense of passion for this awesome sport which has a major presence in South Jersey.  As a member of the swim team (Training Squad or the Competitive Team), your child will participate in all our team building events including pep rallys and we encourage each and every swimmer to come out to the swim meets. The swim team encourages and instills a sense of belonging and the friendships they make now will last forever!

Competitive Swim Team - any child between 5 and 18 as of June 15th, 2025 that can swim multiple lengths of the pool including proficiency in one or more swim strokes with proper form and breathing.  

Training Squad - any child between 5 and 12 as of June 15th, 2025 that can swim one length (25 meters) freestyle stroke but does not have to have correct form or breathing patterns.  Most of our Training Squad participate in our B-Meets.  Some kids will transition from Training Squad to the Swim Team their very first year.

The team suit will be available to purchase again next year!  We will be managing team suit fittings and purchases next year and we are looking for a Parent to Lead this Effort!  If interested please reach out to [email protected]
