B Meet Coordinator

Responsible for organizing and running B meets.

National Anthem

Sing the National Anthem at the start of the meet

Announcer

Calls up events and announces names of swimmers in each event.

Data input

Enters each events scores and times into the computer with “Touch Pad”. The software keeps a cumulative score of each event and the meet. Each team provides a Data Entry person, and they work together to confirm accuracy. At the concussion of the meet copies of the files are given to the other team.

Data input assistant

Sorts results cards and reads them to the  data entry person 

Ribbon Writer

Places labels on ribbons indicating swimmer’s event, age group, and time, on the morning following a dual meet. Labels are printed out after the meet’s data are entered

Chief Timer

Starts two watches for each heat and watches to see if any lane timer indicates that s/he missed the start. If so, the back-up timer gets the finish time for that lane

Timer

Time the swimmers in each race using stopwatches provided by each respective team. One Timer records all times on the score cards

Lane Parent

Take the cards from the swimmer just before the race and brings it down to the timer at the opposite end of the pool

Runner Lane

Take the cards from the swimmer just before the race and brings it down to the timer at the opposite end of the pool

Clerk of course (Cards)

Distributes Entry Cards to the appropriate swimmers as events progress through the meet.

Staging

Places swimmers in Event - Heat - Lane order 

Stager Escort

 Walks the swimmers from the staging area to the appropriate blocks

First Place Ticket

Distributes a coupon to the winner of each heat to be claimed at the prize box located a the scoring table

First Place Prize Box

Winner of each heat is allowed to reaching and pull out a surprise prize.
