A Note About Briarhill Cabana Club Practices

If the Briarhill Cabana Club is open for the 2026 season, we plan to offer practice options at the Cabana Club in addition to our primary practice locations.

Details regarding:

  • Which age groups may practice at the Cabana Club

  • How often those practices may be offered

  • How families may choose between locations

are very much to be determined. We will share updates as soon as more information becomes available.

Practice Schedule Q&A

Do we have to attend every practice?

No. Families may choose how many days their swimmer attends practice each week. We recommend at least three practices per week to help swimmers continue progressing and feel prepared for meets.

We also recognize that summer includes travel, camps, and time away. It’s completely expected that swimmers may miss individual practices—or even entire weeks—during the season.

Do I need to notify someone if my child will miss practice?

No notification is required. If your swimmer misses a practice, there’s nothing you need to do.

What if I want my child to practice with a different age group?

During the first week(s) of practice, swimmers should attend with their assigned age group.

After that, families may speak with the coach to request a different practice time. Coaches take several factors into account, including swimmer ability, lane space, group size, and emotional readiness to train with another age group. More details on coach communication will be shared at the start of the season.

What does my child need to bring to practice?

Swimmers should bring:

  • Goggles

  • A swim cap if their hair is shoulder-length or longer

Why are there no evening practices this season?

We explored multiple pool options but were unable to secure any evening practice times this year. While we know evening practices work well for some families, this schedule allows us to offer consistent, well-supported practices with strong coaching coverage.
