The social aspect of swim team is one of the things that makes it so fun! In addition to hanging

out during practices and meets, DPST holds a social for each age group, a parent party,

several everal socials the week leading up to Conference and awards night.

Our team is volunteer run, so every family pitches in to make these fun events happen.  Each family signs up for one social obligation per summer in addition to your meet obligations.  When you sign up for a social obligation you will be joining a team of other parents to host the event.  This includes planning, publicizing or sending an e-vite, purchasing supplies (reimbursed by DPST), setting up, attending the entire event, and cleaning up.  It's important that you sign up for an event that you're able to attend in full and that you regularly check your e-mail in order to contribute to the planning process.
