DPST Coaching Staff Summer 2026
Head Coach Airiana Dargan
Airiana Dargan has been swimming since she was six years old and has a lifelong passion for the sport. She previously coached at Forest Park in Concord, the team she grew up swimming for, where she loved helping swimmers grow both their skills and confidence in the water. She specializes in breaststroke and freestyle (also my favorite strokes!) and has broken multiple pool records and competed at the Junior Olympics in both events.
She is especially passionate about teaching strong technique, race strategy, and helping swimmers set and achieve their personal goals, whether they’re just starting out or looking to improve competitively. She is excited to be coaching at Dewing Park this year and can’t wait to work hard, have fun, and make it a great season with everyone!
Senior Assistant Head Coach Mandy LaBrot
Mandy LaBrot has been coaching for 15 years in the Bay Area and is so excited to be back at Dewing Park! She grew up swimming and playing water polo and continued her love of water sports through college. When she's not on the pool deck she is teaching at Las Lomas High School or playing with her 4 year old golden retriever, Dug. She is looking forward to another great season leading the seahorses!
Senior Assistant Head Coach Molly Savaiinaea
Molly is very excited to be returning to Dewing Park this summer! Molly began swimming as a 6 and under for Orinda Park Pool. She continued a swim and water polo career through high school, and went on to compete for UCLA Women’s Rowing Team in college. She coached 10 summers at Orinda Park Pool before joining Dewing park in 2019. She teaches Science at Las Lomas High School and coached for the school swim team for 3 years. Go Seahorses!!!
Lane Coach Jessie Wright
Jessie is excited to be returning as a lane coach for Dewing this year! Jessie is just finishing up her senior year at Las Lomas (and hasn't decided which university she is attending as of this posting!) This will be her 14th year swimming for DPST and her favorite stroke has always been butterfly. She has also coached Sea Ponies for two years. Besides swimming, she enjoys playing soccer, fostering puppies for Underdog Animal Rescue, and spending time with friends and family. She is looking forward to seeing everyone back on deck!
Lane Coach Brody Cox
Brody is a 17 year old junior at Las Lomas where he plays water polo and swims. He started swimming at Dewing Park as a 3 year old Sea Pony and is looking forward to continuing his swim journey this year. He had a great time as a Lane Coach the past two seasons and is excited to be back on the pool deck. He can’t wait to help all of our young swimmers improve and for them to have lots of fun doing it! He is excited to share his enthusiasm and passion for swimming and for Dewing Park.
Lane Coach Gavin Wright
Gavin is 15 years old and just finishing his freshman year at Las Lomas where he is on the swim team and soccer team. He started at Dewing as a Sea Pony when he was three and moved up to DPST just in time for City Meet when he was four. His favorite strokes are freestyle and butterfly. In his spare time he loves mountain biking, soccer and hanging out with his friends. He can't wait to spend his summer on deck!
