Volunteer Requirements

Service Hours (not required for PreK only families):

Each family is required to contribute 20 volunteer hours toward the operation of school programs. Should you not meet your hours by 1 May, 2010,you will be billed for the remaining hours at $12.00 per hour. Service opportunities and sign-up forms will be mailed in August. A Maryland and Federal background investigation is required for many, but not all activities. Field trips do not count for service hours.

Volunteer Hour activities and ideas include:

Christmas Bazaar

Casino Night

Hot Lunch (cooking, serving, counting money, and clean up)

Scrip Program (work at home ordering/balancing weekly an monthly statements)

Scrip Program (Sell cards at school and at different school events)

Catholic Schools Week Activities

Cooking for teachers luncheons

Cooking for regional meetings

Advisory Board/HSA

Room Mothers

Fall Festical

Book Fair Workers

Fundraisers

Yankee Candle (or similar product) Chajirperson and team

Basketball Booster Club - Chair Person for each team (organize kitchen, order for kitchen, clean up, sports trophies and Athletic forms)

Assist with student pictures, hearingand vision testing

Assist with robotics club
