The use of electronic books is encouraged.  MCS is in the process of developing an eLibrary but students can access the many free books and other sources of eBooks through the internet. 

Links to various EBook sites are provided under the links tab above.  All students are encouraged to apply for their St. Mary's county library card so they can access the counties eBook library of audio and digital Books.

MCS uses the Accelerated Reader progam.  Students are able to read and test indepently.  A book search providing which books are available for testing can be found at   http://www.arbookfind.com/UserType.aspx
