My name is  Merrill Riley  and I am excited to be assisting Katie in coaching the Masters Swim Program at LifeTime. I am a California native and have been involved with aquatics for the past 55 years. My experience started with age group swimming and Junior Lifeguards in the City of Huntington Beach. At Edison HS I held many school records and was selected to the Hall of Fame. From there I went to Golden West College and was a State Water Polo champion and an All=American swimmer. I eventually found a love for the ocean and became a full-time Los Angeles County Lifeguard. For 30 years I competed at an International and National level in Surf Lifesaving winning a World Championship in 1988 and have won more that 25 National Titles. To this day I still train daily and compete and this past summer I went to South Padre Island for the US Lifesaving Championships.  Currently, I coach boys swimming and water polo at San Clemente HS. With my great deal of experience I look forward to bringing my passion for aquatics to the members of LifeTime and will assist you in achieving your goals.
