Life Time Southern California Swim Team offers a variety of programs for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of Life Time to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities. All swimmers must complete a Swimming Assessment prior to joining the team so they may be properly placed in an appropriate group.

Developmental 1
Swimmers have a strong understanding of freestyle and backstroke. Emphasis is placed on stroke refinement, building endurance, practice etiquette, competition rules, and having fun. Swimmers must be able to demonstrate 1 continuous length of freestyle and backstroke at the time of their assessment.
Practice's for this level are offered up to 2 days per week and are 45 minutes long.
Fee: $135 per month + one-time enrollment fee

Developmental 2
Swimmers have a more advanced understanding of swimming skills than Developmental 1. Emphasis is placed on further improving stroke technique, competition rules, important skills for practice at higher levels, greater endurance, and competition. Swimmers at this level have the opportunity to participate in any unsanctioned swim meets such as intra-squad meets and rec league meets. Swimmers must be able to perform each of the 4 competitive strokes with proper technique and at a distance specific for each stroke.
Practice's for this level are offered up to 2 days per week and are 60 minutes long.

Bronze
Swimmers are capable in all four competitive swimming strokes. Swimmers have the capacity to perform for extended durations at increased intensity and stroke refinement is still needed. Emphasis is placed on having fun, stroke technique, aerobic and anaerobic training, competition, teamwork, and building a positive mental attitude. Requirements for this level is based on the coaches decision after swim assessment. Minimum practice commitment of three times per week required. Swim meet participation is required.
1 hour, 4 days (minimum practice required – 3 days)

Silver
Swimmers in this group have a moderate level of competitive swimming experience but need a balance of technique work and physiological development. Emphasis is placed on endurance, conditioning, stroke refinement, race strategy, competitive skills, goal setting and an understanding of time standards. Requirements for this level is based on the coaches decision after swim assessment. Minimum practice commitment of three times per week required. Swim meet participation is required.
1 hour 30 minutes, 4 days (minimum practice required – 3 days)
Fee: $175 per month + one-time enrollment fee

Gold
Swimmers in this group have a high level of competitive swimming experience and are ready to transition into swimming with increased volume and intensity of training. Emphasis is placed on improving cardiovascular fitness, refining stroke skills, and higher level competition. Minimum practice commitment of three times per week required. Swim meet participation is required.
1 hour 45 minutes, 4 days (minimum practice required – 3 days)

Summer Rec League (Life Time Dolphins)
Swimmers have a basic understanding of swimming skills. Emphasis is placed on competition rules, stroke technique, starts, turns, finishes, swimming satisfaction, fun, and endurance building. Swimmers will participate in local LSC meets. Swimmers must be able to demonstrate the four competitive strokes at the Life Time Swim 501 level.
