SWIM MEET ENTRY, FORMS AND FEES

  • WAC typically participates in 1-2 swim meets per month. Coaches select meets best suited for the teams. Parents are responsible for  accepting or declining to attend the meet in TeamUnify within a week after the meet being posted/announced. Parents will select the day and session that their swimmer can attend.  Not all days of every meet needs to be attended.   Coaches are responsible for selecting the specific events for each swimmer.  Parents and swimmers may provide feedback to the coaches via the notes field in the meet commitment.  (Ex. A maximum number of events, time constraints, etc.)
  • All meet information will be made available a minimum of two weeks prior to the meet and will be posted to the Meet listing. Swimmers and parents are responsible for reviewing it to understand the days and times of each sessions, events offered and applicable fees.
  • All entries must be submitted by the deadline posted by the team. Late entries will not be accepted. Payment is due upon registration and fees are non-refundable, if changes are made after the deadline.
  • Swim meet fees vary and are determined by the number of events a swimmer is competing in at a meet (~$4-8 per race). Most meets also charge a per swimmer surcharge (~$10-20) and possibly a facility charge (~$10)  . Please read the meet info sheet carefully for details on how much each event will cost per swimmer!
  • Meet entry fees generally range from $40.00 to $120.00 per swimmer depending on how many events are entered and other meet surcharges.  These fees will be charged to your form of payment set up in your account prior to the meet.

 

  • For the Coach to attend an away meet outside of the local area there must be a minimum of 10 swimmers committed to the meet.  All swimmers pay $25 per meet as a coaching fee to help pay coach(es) travel expenses and time on-deck.  This fee is in addition to the meet fees!

 

  • If there are not enough swimmers to justify sending the coach due to covering coach travel costs, a lead parent will be identified and given instructions on how to proceed.
