On Sunday, June 9th, our newest Masters swimmer, Tasheema Taylor, participated in her first sprint triathlon, the Mermaid Triathlon at Alameda. It involved a .25 mile swim, 12 mile bike, and 2.5 mile run. She finished 23rdout of 80 in her wave, which is incredible enough, but most incredible is that 8 weeks ago she was a brand new beginning swimmer! Congratulations to Tasheema for her courage and focus to come such a long way in such a short time!
