Grievance Procedures & Codes of Conduct

At Vacaville Swim Club, we believe in open communication, mutual respect, and a positive environment for all swimmers, coaches, and families. To help support this standard, we’ve established Grievance Procedures and clear Codes of Conduct for athletes, parents, and coaches.

These documents are in place to ensure that everyone has a safe, supportive space to thrive—both in and out of the water. Whether you're a new member or a returning family, it's important to be familiar with these guidelines.

What You'll Find:

  • Grievance Procedures:
A step-by-step guide for how concerns can be shared and addressed appropriately within our team structure. We’re committed to resolving issues in a respectful and timely manner.

  • Codes of Conduct for:

    • Athletes: Expectations for behavior during practices, meets, and team events

    • Parents/Guardians: Guidelines for supporting your swimmer and interacting with coaches and officials

    • Coaches: Standards for leadership, professionalism, and maintaining a safe and inclusive environment

Please Take a Moment To:

  1. Carefully read each document linked below

  2. Discuss the Athlete Code of Conduct with your swimmer

  3. Reach out if you have any questions or need clarification

Your understanding and partnership help us maintain the strong, respectful, and spirited community that makes the Vacaville Waves so special.

Let’s continue to lead by example—on deck, in the stands, and in our daily lives.
