Meet the Parent Board & Learn How We Keep Waves Running Strong

The Vacaville Swim Club is proud to be home to a thriving year-round age group swim team, an energetic Masters swim program, and a spirited summer recreational team. Behind the scenes, our dedicated Parent Board of Directors helps keep everything flowing smoothly—so our athletes, coaches, and families can focus on what matters most: growth, competition, and community.

What Does the Parent Board Do?

The Parent Board meets monthly to:

  • Manage the business planning and financial responsibilities of the team

  • Help set goals and guide the direction of the club

  • Support coaches, swimmers, and families through transparent leadership

  • Ensure all programs are aligned with our mission and values

This team of volunteers plays a crucial role in the success of our swimmers—both in and out of the pool.

How Are Board Members Selected?

Board Members are elected annually at our general membership meeting held around mid-November. All members of the Vacaville Swim Club are welcome to attend and vote. Board Members serve a one-year term and may be re-elected.

Parent Board Positions Include:

  • President

  • Vice President

  • Treasurer

  • Secretary

  • Age Group Representatives (3 positions)

  • Masters Representative

In addition, the Head Coach serves as the CEO of the team and is a non-voting board member, offering valuable input on team operations and athlete development.

Want to Get Involved?

If you’re passionate about swimming, team spirit, and supporting your athlete’s journey, the Parent Board is a great way to contribute. Serving on the board is a rewarding way to stay connected and help shape the future of the Vacaville Swim Club.

We’re more than a swim team—we’re a family. And our board helps keep that family strong.
