Vaca "Duals" with Napa

From Coach Megan:

The Red, White and Blue groups did a fabulous job at Napa! There were a lot of swimmers who swam in their first long course meet and very first swim meet! I am excited to see more and more swimmers at meets in the future. I really enjoyed seeing the swimmers growing and taking more responsibility at swim meets by getting to their events and coming to see me before and after races. We had a lot of great swims and I could see all the work that we have been doing in practicing showing up in the meets! Keep up the great work everyone! Congratulations to Camille Arca, Athena Brombacher, Johanna Cheek, and Emily Mueller for receiving new JO times!

From Coach Grace:

The Napa Meet was a huge success because every swimmer had a challenge to face. Whether it was swimming the 400 free for the first time or simply attending their first swim meet ever. This meet was a great opportunity because it was not as hectic as other meets. It gave the athletes a chance to deal with competition on a smaller scale, manage the emotions that come along with competition, challenging new races that they have not attempted previously, and gaining confidence from successful races.

Some swimmers I'd like to recognize are:

First Swim Meet attended:
Zoe Johnson
Devinn Wertz
Joseph Archambeau
Jadon Coolidge

Best times:
Jenna Key
Hailey Mother
Nathan Mills

"B" Times:
Mitch Guinan
Ava Ruiz
Skyler White

Great job swimmers! GO VACA!

From Coach Wedaman:

The Napa dual meet was another fun and fast meet for the SR 1 and JR 1 swimmers.  LOTS of best times even after many of the best times earned week before at Lodi and several new JO times.

David Van Buskirk with 4

Alexio Cabanero 2

Julia Key 1

Boyd Abernethy 1

Lukas Bechtel 1

Abby Mitchell 1

Georgia Guinan 1.

The groups are learning how to swim fast and smart. We could not be in a better spot right now and I am excited to see what these groups can do in our upcoming JOs!
