Davis meet a prime warm up for JOs
From Coach Megan:
The Davis swim meet was an incredible meet for the Red, White and Blue groups! A lot of swimmers competed in new and challenging events. I love to see my swimmers taking the opportunity to challenge themselves. All the swimmers did a fantastic job of stepping up and racing! I had a blast watching all of my swimmers and was so proud of how they did over the weekend. I am excited to see all of my swimmers compete at the upcoming meets! Congratulations to Emma Guinan, Athena Brombacher, and Emma Gioia on receiving new JO times!
From Coach Grace:
The Davis Meet was an emotional one. The swimmers who attended were putting all their efforts in this meet in order to qualify for JOs. We need to make sure we attend as many meets as possible and work hard in practice every day so each swimmer has a better chance of making BB times. Outside of the emotions, several swimmers received new best times. Hailey Morger dropped 5.98 seconds in the 50 breast and Mitch Guinan dropped 20.55 seconds in the 400 free. Good job! GO Waves!
From Coach Jared:
The Varsity group sent Rachel Lee and Senior II group sent Joy Pederson and Alejandro Ramirez to the Davis last chance meet. The meet was a great chance to get some practice at long course swimming. The weather was perfect and the meet ran very smoothly.
This was Alejandro's first long course meet and I was very happy with his performance. He swam the 100 free and 400 free. Now he will have times in swimconnection to gauge progress.
We will have our last meet for the summer season on August 3rd. I look forward to seeing lots of swimmers present. Swim meets are an essential part of our training program.
From Coach Wedaman:
The Davis meet was another success for the JR 1 and SR 1 Groups. The 8 swimmers in the meet produced 4 more new long course Junior Olympic times; Leah Harlan 50 and 100 Breast, Georgia Guinan 50 Back and Boyd Abernethy 400 Free. The swimmers are putting in great efforts in practice to learn new techniques and to swim faster.
