Waves crash into Redding at JR Trials and Finals Meet!

The weather has continued to be very cooperative and we took advantage of it. Senior 1 has been preparing to be fast in all of their races with good technique and good aerobic training.

The group had some outstanding swims starting with Tim Lee’s 100 yard Freestyle where hebroke 13 -14 year olds team record set in 1986 by going 49.55.  Congrats Tim!

Boyd Abernethy got a new Far Western time in the 100 Butterfly.

Other swimmers placing in the top 18, these are the swimmers who got second swims by being in the top 18 in the morning trials:

Gabby Harvey 5^th in the 1000 Free, 16^th in the 200 Back and 15^th in the 200 Butterfly

Julia Key 9^th in the 200 Breast and 400 IM, 13^th in the 500 Free and 15^th in the 100 Breast

Abby Mitchell 6^th in the 1000 Free, 7^th in the 200 Breast, 10^th in the 100 Breast and 18th in the 200 IM

Boyd Abernethy 6^th in the 200 Butterfly, 13^th in the 200 Back and 16th in the 100 Butterfly

Tim Lee 4^th in the 200 Butterfly, 5^th in the 100 Free and 200 Free, 7^th in the 100 butterfly, 9^th in the 50 Free

Taylor Stevens 7^th in the 200 Butterfly, 18^th in the 100 Free and 100 Butterfly

Parents were into the support of the swimmers with a lot of loud cheering lots of FUN.
