Waves Go Big at Spring JOs!

We came to RACE and we did. After having done both the Fall and Winter Greatness Challenge, the swimmers were very prepared to go fast and it is a lot of fun when you know you are ready.
Tim Lee had an outstanding three days, he won the 13-14 boys high point award, and he set two new team records in the 100 Free and 100 Butterfly. Tim won the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free and the 500 free and the 100 and 200 Butterfly, was 4th in the 100 back in a new Far Western time.
Georgia Guinan, 11-12 girls, was 8th in the 200 Back and 200 Back, 10th in the 100 Back.
Andy Ramirez, 11-12 boys, was 9th in the 100 Free, 5th in the 50 and 100 Back.
Sierra Carmelich, 13-14 girls, was 8th in the 100 Back.
Skyler Carmelich, 11-12 boys, was 7th in the 200 Breast, 8th in the 50 and 100 Breast, 10th in the 50 Back.
Abigail Mitchell was 5th in the 200 Breast, 6th in the 100 Breast with a new Far Western time, and 10th in the 200 IM.
Jalen Lloyd was 6th in the 100 Breast with a new Far Western time.
Boyd Abernethy was 6th in the 100 Butterfly in a new Far Western time, 10th in the 200 Butterfly in a Far Western time.
The 11-12 Girls 400 Free Relay was 8th with Alex Harris, Izzy Mitchell, Georgia Guinan and Genna Lammon
The 13-14 Girls 200 Medley Relay was 10th with Casey Cox, Abby Mitchell, Gabriela Hernandez and Anne Garcia
The 13-14 Boy 200 Free Relay was 4th with Boyd Abernethy, Alexio Cabanero, Jalen Lloyd and Tim Lee.
The 13-14 boys 400 Medley Relay was 2nd with Alexio Cabanero, Jalen Lloyd, Boyd Abernethy and Tim Lee

The Black group did a great job at JO’s! Everyone had a great attitude and came to swim fast every day. I was very proud of how well everyone was racing and how they handled the long days at the swim meet. Fantastic job to everyone!
Congrats to Emily Mueller for placing 8th in the 25 Free and 8th in the 50 Free!
Great job to Sophia Chun, Salome Carmelich, and Julia Miles in their individual events!
The 10 and Under Girls had a fantastic 200 Medley and 200 Free relay with Julia Miles, Emily Mueller, Natalie Feike, and Emma Guinan!
