JO Max Meet a Success!
JO Max Meet
From Coach Wedaman:
Well again it rains when we run a meet in Vacaville. Helps the drought and does not affect the swimmers as they are ready to race and enjoy racing to much to be effected by the weather.
Skyler Carmelich made new JO times in the 500 Free, 100 Back, 100 Fly, and 200 IM
Sierra Carmelich made new JO times in the 50 and 100 Free
Genna Lammon made two new JO times in the 50 and 100 Breaststroke
Amrit Singh made two new JO times in the 50 Free and 200 IM
Others having outstanding meets were:
Jadah Francisco who went 3 for 3 best times
Chase Dean who went 4 for 4 best times
Anna Gagnebin who was 3 for 3 best times
Heaven Thomas who was 4 for 4 best times
From Coach Megan:
The Black group swam great at the JO Max Meet! Even though the weather was a challenge, the swimmers stepped up and still swam lifetime best times! The meet was a great way to end the short course season on a positive note. I am very happy and proud with the way everyone came out and raced.
Emma Guinan and Emma Gioia received new B times!
Great swims everyone! Go Waves!
From Coach Carly:
Excitement and energy made the JO Max Meet a whirlwind of fun. In addition to overseeing my red and white groups, I also had the privilege of overseeing Coach Megan’s black group. All the kids come ready to race and show off their hard work, as evident from the sheer number of personal best time beads that was handed out.
Red and White Group – I was very impressed to see the kids incorporate many of the skills that have been emphasized in practice into their races. Two of these skills being proper body position and stokes for backstroke and freestyle had a clear impact on swimmers times. Congratulations to Catlyn, Mia, Maya for dropping over 4 seconds in their 25 backstroke times.
Black Group – you are all amazing swimmers and people. I really enjoyed getting to know all of you, thank you for letting me be your coach for a day.
