What a weekend for the Waves in Roseville! With fierce competition, blazing temps, and electric swims, our athletes truly showed up—and it did not go unnoticed.

3rd Place Overall – Small Teams Division (out of 14 competitive teams!)

10th Place Overall across all divisions (21 overall)—we were even close to beating a medium-sized team!

Ethan Zhang DOMINATED the 8 & under boys category and took home 1st place High Point—absolutely crushed it!

Countless first-time finalists, relay warriors, best times, and all-out effort from every swimmer!

Huge shoutout to Keane Schwarzbach, Sofia Finger, and Hayden Swain for showing up and giving it their all in the relays. Your dedication made a real difference in our team points. That’s what being a true teammate looks like!
🔥 Individual Athlete Highlights
Mikaila Anello – Swam in all the 15–18 girls relays and finaled in the 400 free (7th). Stayed consistent across the board.
Daniel Barrow – New first-time finalist in the 400 free (7th)! Also earned best times in the 200 free and 100 free.
Nicky Barrow – Big drops in several events, including the 100 free, 400 free, 400 IM, and 50 free. Swam the 1500 free for the first time (2nd overall!) and finaled in both the 400 IM (7th) and 400 free (8th).
Emily Blair – Powered through a tough lineup with big drops in the 200 IM, 200 back, 200 free, and 400 IM. Finaled in the 1500 free (3rd) and 800 free (2nd) and contributed to the 11–12 girls relays.
Makenna Brady – Crushed the weekend with new PRs in the 200 free, 100 free, 200 back, and 50 free. Came back for finals to cheer on teammates! 💙
Jenna Brown – First timer at BRC! Contributed to the 15–18 girls relays. A new addition to the team already making an impact.
Jude Cabral – Set PRs in nearly every event and finaled in the 100 back (7th) and 200 IM (8th). Even swam off for the 50 back—epic!
Noah Cano – Wrapped up his age group career in style with a new best time in the 50 free and joined the 15–18 boys relays.
Nick Caughman – Another first-time BRC qualifier! Contributed in the 13–14 boys relays.
Lance Donaldson – Still getting back in the groove post-summer school but showed up strong for the 15–18 boys relays. Ready to refocus!
Lukas Donaldson – In his final age group meet, Lukas dropped in the 50 free and finaled in the 100 free (5th), 200 back (5th), and 200 IM (6th). And yes—he won his finals heat just like he promised. Clutch!
Tanner Ferguson – Helped out in relays and notched best times in the 400 IM and 100 free. Fired up for short course!
Keahi Holokahi – Crushed it across the board: PRs in the 200 free, 100 fly, 100 free, 400 IM, and more. Awesome work!
Lilly Howard – Flew in from across the country and didn’t skip a beat. Despite jet lag, she dropped in multiple events and brought amazing energy to relays and finals.
Emma Lewis – Contributed in relays and dropped time in the 200 IM—solid effort!
Jewely Lightfoot – Took on a brutal lineup and still delivered: drops in multiple events and finals in the 1500 free (4th), 800 free (3rd), 400 free (8th), and 400 IM (4th).
Layla Lightfoot – First-time finalist alert! Finaled in the 200 back and dropped in the 400 IM. She was pumped—and we were too!
Raquel Lopez – Made her BRC individual debut after being a relay-only swimmer last year. Showed grit and consistency while helping the relays.
Ashton Martinez – Dropped time in the 100 free, 50 fly, 200 IM, and 50 free. Finaled in the 50 fly (7th)—he was an alternate who got scratched in!
Kyle McAllister – Despite being out of the water for weeks, he showed up and surprised everyone—including himself! Finaled in the 200 fly (3rd), 200 IM (8th), 400 free (6th), and 400 IM (5th).
Piper Miller – First-time finalist alert! Big drops in the 400 IM and 200 IM. Finaled in the 400 IM (6th), 200 back (8th), and 200 breast (9th).
Millie Molten – Continued her streak with best times in the 200 free, 100 free, 200 back, 400 free, and 50 free.
Emma Patrick – A strong weekend with bests in the 200 free, 200 IM, 100 free, 50 back, and 100 back.
Kylan Smith – Hands down one of the toughest performances of the meet. Finaled in ALL 7 of his events, and just missed out on 3rd place high point in the 17–18 boys category by 4 points. An absolute machine.
Will Syrett – First-time BRC swimmer! Earned best times in the 50 back and 50 free.
Maxum Weber – True teammate moment: gave up his relay spot so senior swimmers could have their last swim. Earned a PR in the 100 free.
Ethan Zhang – New to BRC and unstoppable! After returning from a family trip to China, he went 5 for 5 with 1st place finishes in the 8 & under category and took home the High Point Trophy. Incredible performance!
