How to Join Swim Team

Streamliner Aquatics offers a USA Swimming year-round competitive program for ages 6 and over swimmers who are interesting in a competitive team experience. Swimmers may tryout and join the team at any time throughout the year.

Step 1: Contact a coach, Hong Shao at [email protected] or 510-396-2965 to set up a tryout time.

All swimmers need to undergo a tryout to be placed in a practice group at their appropriate level. Assessments during tryouts typically take approximately 10 minutes, and we may invite your swimmer to join the group for a full practice to ensure they are in the proper group.

Group Placement Standards

Step 2: Complete the online registration for your swimmer. There are two USA Swimming memberships: Flex and Premier membership.

The Crunch membership is not required to be on the swim team. However, if you would like to use other parts of the gym besides the swimming pool, you will need to contact Crunch to sign up for a Crunch membership.

Transfer from Another USA Swimming Club: Swimmers transferring from one USA Swimming team to another must complete the Snake River Swimming Athlete Transfer Form (Fillable Form) by click the link below.

• Change Clubs within Snake River Swimming; $10 fee, effective 1/1/2018
• Unattached to/from a Snake River Swimming club; no fee
• Transfer into Snake River Swimming from another LSC; no fee, unless required by previous LSC
• Transfer from collegiate team to home club; no fee, but this form is required
