Dear Team,

  We hope everyone’s having a great week! Cooler weather is here and just in time, because training is about to heat up. As a quick reminder, there will be no practice this Friday for Halloween. Go have fun and enjoy the evening! 

The preseason is behind us, and the foundation is set. Now we’re stepping into the heart of the season where training becomes more specialized, deliberate, and focused. This is where growth happens and where we see what we’re truly made of.

Each of you brings something special to this team. Some are fueled by talent, others by pure grit and hard work. Both matter. What unites us is determination: the drive to show up, push harder, and lift each other higher.

Remember, champions aren’t born, they’re built. Every tough set, every burning muscle, every small win is shaping not just the swimmer, but the person you’re becoming.

Don’t forget why you’re here:

  • To swim fast.

  • To chase your limits.

  • To discover who you really are.

So train with purpose. Believe in yourself. Trust your coaches, your teammates, and the process. The strongest muscle you’ll ever train… is the one between your ears. Let’s make this next phase our best yet. 

 

 

 Top Junior Performers of the Preseason

We’ve seen some incredible efforts from our Junior group, and our staff want to recognize two standouts who’ve been training hard and performing exceptionally well:

Both athletes been on a tear and have earned Coach’s Recognition as Top Junior Performers of the Preseason. Each will receive a tactical swim bag from TYR!

We’ll announce our next two top Junior performers after Graceland.

 

Upcoming Meets

DK Swim Meet at Belton

  • Date: Saturday, November 1st, 2025

  • Meet info will be sent out tomorrow.

  • Warm-ups: 10:25 AM

  • Start: 11:00 AM

  • I’ll keep you posted on any updates.




11 & Over at UT

  • Date: Saturday and Sunday, November 7-8th, 2025

  • Entries have been accepted.

  • Additional info will go out next week.

  • Coach Laylah will cover this meet, as I’ll be out of town.

     

Surfin’ Turkey Meet

  • Date: Friday, November 14, 2025

  • Location: CHASCO YMCA

  • Session 1 (12 & Under):

    • Warm-up: 4:00–4:45 PM

    • Start: 5:00 PM

    • Estimated End: 6:00 PM

  • Session 2 (11 & Older):

    • Warm-up: Immediately after Session 1 (~6:00 PM)

    • Start: 6:30–6:45 PM (depending on timeline)

    • Estimated End: 8:30 PM

       

LONGHORN AQUATICS – 10 & Under November Unclassified

  • Location: University of Texas

  • Date: Sunday, November 16, 2025

  • Fees: $13.00 per event + $15.00 facility surcharge

  • Entry Deadline: November 3, 2025

  • Timeline: Warm-up at 9:00 AM | Start at 10:00 AM

     

Rainbow Road at Belton

  • Details coming soon!

  • This meet will be for 12 & Under swimmers.


     

Graceland Championship Meet

  • Date: December 5–7, 2025

  • Location: RRAC

  • Format: Timed Finals Friday | Prelims/Finals Saturday & Sunday

  • Fees: $11.25 per event + $10 surcharge

  • Bonus: Elvis bobbleheads for Top Performers! 🕺
    This will be a packed meet with teams from all over Texas.

Billing Reminder

Parents, starting in November, credit card transaction fees will now be paid by the user. The team has covered these costs for the last few years, but they now total nearly $10,000 per year.

To avoid fees, you can switch to direct bank draft payments so that no one will be charged extra, and it helps the team tremendously.

Let’s finish October strong and carry this energy into November. Great things are coming so let’s go get them!
