The swimmer for the month of April is Ali Silva. Ali was selected, because of her dedicated committment to attendance of club practice and attendance at USA Swimming meets ,while swimming for her high school team. She works hard every practice on the little details that make a difference in the outcome of a race. In fact, at the last swim meet she had best times in all but one event. Ali is a great role model for our younger swimmers on the team. She is a joy to have...

Swimmer of the Month: Junior Group, April 2007 Taylor Santa Anna The reason why I picked Taylor Santa Anna as the ?Swimmer of the Month? for the month of April was because of her great spirit, participation, and her work ethic. Taylor has been at almost every practice for the past few months and has proven to be dedicated to the sport. She is an exceptional listener and is a ?doer?. She understands the sets and the concepts that make swimming in the junior group challenging thing. Taylor works hard...
May 1, 2007 To The Parents, Swimmers, and Coaches of MCAT/SVA, As your president, I speak for the board in extending our full support of Dia Rianda and her coaching staff in the performance of nurturing an atmosphere towards enjoying swimming at all age levels. For those perhaps not fully aware, of late there have been concerns solicited as to the overall harmonies of both our board and our team. Those concerns are being addressed as part of the traditional responsibilities placed by you in trust with the board as...
Dear MCAT Swimmers and Families: MCAT/SVA and MBSC will no longer be competing as a single team in swim meets. In a unanimous vote, the Board voted that the best interest of our swimmers was to concentrate on our swim operations here in the Salinas Valley . The only change that will be readily apparent is that our relays will be staffed completely by MCAT/SVA swimmers from now on. We are parting as friends, and will continue on as friends with all the swimmers and families of the MBSC team....
Junior Groups swimmer of the month is Genevieve Leonard. The reason why I picked Genevieve as the swimmer of the month was because of her attitude and her dedication. Genevieve is the first one getting ready to swim and the last person to ask what time it is. She has been dedicated to the sport in the rain or when it's a beautiful cloud-less evening. Her attendance has been very high at practice and the whole team loves seeing her at meets. Genevieve is a hard worker and at meets...
