Southern Zone Friends, Each year USA Swimming selects athletes to become members of the USA Swimming – Scholastic All-American (SAA)Team. The program is open to high school sophomores, juniors and seniors that have a 3.5 GPA and have attained the specified time standard in a single event. We had (6) SE swimmers attend the USA Swimming Zone Select Camp this past weekend at the University of Louisville. Mallory Underwood (HSA) Alyssa Hale (MTS) Paige Madden (CMSA) Matt Beach (EXCEL) Adam Thomas (PACK) Slater Whiston (CMSA) 71,000 swimmers in the Southern Zone. Only the top 56 swimmers make this camp. These six athletes did a great job and represented their clubs and SES with pride.

It is with much sadness that I inform everyone that Coach Tom Fay's health is fading. Tom has had a heart condition for several years and his condition has taken a turn for the worse in the past few weeks. The doctors have told the family that his time here with us is very short.
