Sasha Ayzenberg swam his best 100 Free of 49.86. Brendan Casey earned a Junior National cut in the 200 Back with a 1:50.26. Jamie Dodd's 17:21.52 mile was her best ever, along with a 10:30.78 1000 Free. JP Mortenson blazed a 2:01.71 personal best 200 Back. Gabe Schneider went 1:59.4 in the 200 IM, a personal best. Bella Siering swam a 17:39.57 mile and 10:39.73 1000 Free, both good for PBs. Shayna Simmer swam a PB 4:41.68 in her 400 IM. Fantastic improvements, TSM swimmers!
On Saturday in Fullerton: Sasha Ayzenberg swam a personal best 1:54.35 in the 200 Fly. Brendan Casey got his first Senior National cut in the 1000 Free with a 9:19.95. Brendan's 200 Fly of 1:52.83 was also a personal best. Gillian Caverly dropped 14 seconds in her 500 Free, swimming a lifetime best 5:10.74. Isabella Siering smashed her personal best 200 Fly with a 2:14.55. Bella also swam a 5:12.98 for her best 500 Free. Congratulations, TSM swimmers!
3 for 3 on a Friday night in Fullerton at Kevin Perry! Brendan Casey dropped almost 12 seconds to 15:42.46 and a Junior National qualifying time in the 1650 Free. Jamie Dodd improved by 2 seconds to 10:31.46 and a Sectionals cut in the 1000 Free. Gillian Caverly went 10:33.54 in her first 1000 Free (less than a second off her Sectional cut), negative splitting her swim [5:18/5:15] with two lifetime best 500s. Her previous best 500 was 5:25.69 Great start to a big weekend...GO TSM!

USA Swimming has listed TSM Head Coach Dave Kelsheimer as a 2013-2014 National Team coach. Dave is also listed as a National Junior Team coach. Dave is one of only 14 coaches around the country to receive both honors this year. That short list includes Olympic Team coaches Bob Bowman and David Marsh. USA Swimming has officially named TSM standout Jordan Wilimovsky to the USA National Team. Brendan Casey and Scott Simmer continued TSM's successful 2013 Junior National Championship campaign with lifetime best swims in the 400m free. Brendan improved his time by 6 seconds to score more long course club excellence points for TSM and add another long course qualifying standard to his list. Scott dropped 5 seconds in his 400 free just missing the Winter Senior National qualifying time in an event he had only qualified to swim at this summer's Junior Nationals as a bonus event. Well done Brendan and Scott!
Just a little over one week ago, Jordan Wilimovsky placed 14th for Team USA at the World Championships in Barcelona in a field of nearly 40 competitors (among whom 10 were previous World Championship INDIVIDUAL medalists). With no break and 15 hours of flying, Jordan chose to come back to training immediately to prepare to represent TSM at the 2013 US Open Championships. The competition in Saturday's 800m freestyle included members of both the USA and Australian National Teams. Jordan negative split his race meaning his second half was faster than the first...
Congrats to TSM's Andi Murez, who swam the 2nd leg of the 4x100m free for Team USA as they took the Silver Medal in an exciting finish at the World University Games in Moscow. Both Team Russia (3:38.15) and Team USA (3:38.40) beat the previous University Games record of 3:40.00. TSM's Andi Murez has much to be excited about this spring. Besides finishing her degree and impressive NCAA career at Stanford University, Andi's efforts from last summer have paid off with her being officially named to Team USA after a 5th place finish in the 100 freestyle at the 2012 US Open earned her an alternate spot on the World University Games 4x100 relay team. Congratulations to TSM's Jordan Wilimovsky for making USA Swimming's FINA World Championships U.S. Roster. Jordan, in qualifying for the 25K Open Water event, joins fellow team members Ryan Lochte, Tyler Clary, Missy Franklin, Natalie Coughlin and others as they take on the world in Barcelona starting July 19th. Congrats also to Coach Dave Kelsheimer for all his coaching efforts and for guiding the way. Both Jordan and Coach Dave will be heading to Barcelona later this month for the 25K race that takes place on July 27th. Best of luck...
