Marlins Champs Fund

Roosevelt Island Swimming is a non-profit registered on Facebook. We are raising money for Roosevelt Island Marlins current and future champions and your contribution will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500. Our swimmers represent Roosevelt Island in Metropolitan Junior Olympics and Eastern Zone Championship 4 times per year in Short and Long Course. We are seeking your participation to cover the expense of sending our best swimmers to these competitions and reward their hard work and dedication. Every little bit helps. RI Marlins is an organization established as a multi-level swim program for children and adults. Our mission is to help children achieve their full potential as swimmers. We strive to teach children to be successful swimmers through the mastery of aquatics as their self-confidence, concentration, and discipline improve. The club is designed to give residents a local opportunity to participate in swimming for fitness and as a competitive sport.

Over the past 11 years the RI Marlins has grown from a small program teaching 20 kids how to swim, into a club with over 200 members and a fully developed learn-to-swim program for children and adults, plus a very successful swim team (RI Marlins) governed by the United States Swimming Association and Metro Swimming LSC. Over the past years, several of our initial learn-to-swim students have entered colleges with swim scholarships, won medals at Junior Olympics championships, and entered top 16 National rankings.
