On Monday, Jan 28th, each group will perform their test sets again. After the test sets are done, the coaches will take a couple of weeks to determine who will be moving to the next group at the beginning of the next season. Remember that passing the test set is not the only requirement for moving up and that the coaches have the best interest of your children in mind when they decide what group a child should be in. What a whirlwind weekend! From start to finish our volunteers were amazing, and because of your dedication and hard work, our Swim Meet was a great success. Many compliments were given throughout the weekend; from running the meet smoothly, to helpful volunteers, to great food for the coaches and officials. Parents and Swimmers- When arriving at the meet this weekend we wanted to make you aware that we will be rerouting all traffic through the commons area (Door 31). DO NOT enter through the Natatorium entrance that you usually do at Appleton North. If you enter off ballard normally...door 31 is just a little farther down on the right past the natatorium entrance. We will have signs to direct everyone. There will not be any admissions cashiers or heat sheets available at the Natatorium doors...so please be the example for...
It’s cold and flu season again and the time for children with runny noses and coughs ☺ We don’t have rules against it but if your child is sick and didn’t go to school please think twice before bringing them to practice. It is hard for children to get anything out of practice if they have to constantly stop to cough. It is also for the safety of the other children and coaches to just take the night off. Michael Lagieski will be traveling this weekend to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville to compete at Winter Junior Nationals. This is the premier 18 & Under meet for the short course season, with the best swimmers from all over the country competing. The Fox Valley Wave family is very proud of you Michael and wish you luck.
The transition for FVW scrip coordinator has occurred. A huge Thank You to Linda Lagieski for leading this awesome fundraising opportunity for the past couple of years. As some of you may know, yesterday Tim Downs (Cale and Noah’s father) lost his battle with cancer and has gone Home to his eternal life. Looking for ways to lighten Mary's burden of grief in the coming months we had asked and she accepted an offer for her friends to arrange for and absorb the cost of snow removal for this winter season.
