Team Wisconsin Finishes 4th at Central Zones

Team Wisconsin made the long trek to the Central Zones meet held in Oklahoma City on August 1-3rd. There were 97 athletes from Wisconsin, 3 of which came from our very own Menomonee Falls Swim Club.  This is a huge meet for age group swimmers, it only allows kids with a “AAA” time standard to attend.  Cassie Stegner (6 individual plus 4 relays), Maddie Paar (6 individual events), and Corrina Winkler (1 event) all went down to swim for Team Wisconsin.

Cassie Stegner made her mark in OKC, she finished with 5 top 16 finishes (50 Free 10th, 100 Free 1st, 200 Free 4th, 400 Free 11th, 200 I.M 14th) Maddie Paar had 3 top 25 finishes (400 Freestyle 24th, 50 Backstroke 25th, 200 Backstroke 22nd) Corrina Winkler was 77th in the 50 Freestyle.

Stegner also competed on 4 relays, taking 2nd in the 200 free relay, 4th in the 200 Medley, and then 1st in both the 400 Free and 400 Medley relays.

Great job girls!
