Coaches and Directors
Hello. I am Coach Patrick. I grew up swimming in creeks, ponds and in the salt waters of South Texas. Just so you know yes, with alligators, snakes, and black tip sharks as my wife would say, but I am still here. I have lived near the water my entire life. When stationed in Hawaii I found that swimming was a very important life skill that not everyone knew. Through researching different styles and techniques I started helping those that wanted to learn how to swim. When stationed in North Carolina I served as a Team Leader on a water insertion team. Part of my responsibility was to instruct and mentor young men coming into the detachment on the different swimming techniques and strokes. Swimming is not just a physical sport but very much a mental sport we were not made for the water we adapt to it. I have a great respect for the sport and a lot of the veteran coaches and swimmers. I came back to swimming when my kids joined the Sharks. My favorite stroke is freestyle.
Coach Tasha has always been drawn to the water. Her favorite hobbies include swimming, kayaking, gardening, and traveling. If you noticed she disappears from the pool deck between January and April, it's because she is a Senior Tax Accountant over at KerberRose in Shawano and is buried in tax returns. She got involved in competitive swimming her sophomore year of high school when she joined the Pulaski High School Girls' Swim & Dive Team. Though, she was only active for 1.5 years due to a season ending injury her junior year. She stayed active within the swim community by being a Manager for the Pulaski High School Boys' Swim & Dive Team. She had the amazing opportunity to re-join the competitive swimming community her junior year at St. Norbert College on the Inaugural Team in the 2018-2019 school year. She is currently still active in the competitive swim community as a member of the Pulaski Community Masters (18+) group. Her strokes are sprint Freestyle and Backstroke. She has been lifeguard certified since May of 2014 and USA Swimming Coach certified since October of 2017. Though she never had the opportunity to swim club when she was younger, she believes it would've been a worthwhile experience, and truly enjoys watching the Sharks achieve and surpass their swim goals!
