Season Structure
We competes in 2 seasons: Fall/Winter which is a short course yards season as well as our Spring/Summer long course meters/yards season. There is a separate team registration for each individual season. In beween the two seasons we also offer Boot Camp. This program is designed to work on drills and different techniques to get athletes ready to go for the season! These two sessions of Boot Camp also require separate registrations. As a competitive swimming team we compete in both YMCA Swimming and USA Swimming. For our YMCA meets we are a proud member of the CT YMCA Swim League.
Fall/Winter Season
The SC season starts in early fall and the regular season lasts until the middle of February. Any championships for meets during this season mostly fall from the middle of February through the end of March or the first week or so of April.
YMCA Meet Structure
CT YMCA Swim League
The CT YMCA Swim League is composed of other YMCAs throughout the state of CT. The league has required dual/tri meets scheduled throughout the regular season along with an end of the season Championship meet which is scored.
