Hi Wahoos Swimmers and Families,

Happy New Year! We hope you had a restful and joyous holiday with quality time spent with family and friends. Thank you all for your generosity and festive cheer that you showed the coaches, we all really appreciate it!

January 2026 brings new challenges and opportunities for our swimmers to work hard, learn, and achieve their goals, and we are excited for all of their hard work to pay off! Wahoos will be participating in a number of Championship Meets throughout January, February, and March, where swimmers will have the chance to showcase their skills in a championship meet format.

PRACTICE CHANGES:

Friday, January 16- No Practices, All Squads, WYW Winter Invite
Saturday, January 17- No Practices, All Squads, WYW Winter Invite
Monday, January 19- No AM Elite Practice, All other practices normal, MLK Day
Saturday, January 24- Fitter and Faster Swim Tour at the Wilton Family Y!
- Pre-Senior, 6:00-8:00am, South Pool
- Elite/Senior, 6:00-8:30am, North Pool
- Maroon, Gold, Junior- 8:00-9:30am, South Pool
- Super Bronze, Super Squad- 8:30-9:30am, North Pool

UPCOMING SIGN-UP DEADLINES: Please register your swimmer to participate by this date! Once this date has passed, we cannot add more swimmers to the meet. LINK TO SWIM MEET SIGN UP PAGE- Make sure you are logged in!

Friday, January 9- Sign up for 12/U Valentines Pentathlon. Meet is on Tuesday, February 10
Friday, January 9- Sign up for WYW Distance Night. Meet is on Friday, February 13
Friday, January 9- Sign up for WYW Last Chance Meet. meet is on Sat/Sun February 14-15

UPCOMING CHANGE DEADLINES: Make changes to your swimmers events, which sessions they are swimming, or remove them from sessions/meets by this deadline. After the Change Deadline, swimmers are entered into the meet and families are responsible for splash fees.

Wednesday, January 14- Changes due for Y States Meet
Friday, January 23- Changes due for Last Chance Meet

CHAMPIONSHIP MEET TIME STANDARDS:

A number of meets on our meet schedule require swimmers to qualify to compete. Swimmers must achieve a minimum time standard in order to participate in these events. Time Standards for CT Age Group Championships, Senior Championships, YMCA Nationals, ISCA Elite Showcase, and Zones are available.

CT Swimming Senior Championships March 5-8

CT Swimming Age Group Championships March 12-15

ISCA Elite Showcase March 31-April 4

Easter Zone Championships April 1-4

YMCA National Championships March 3-April 3
