SWIM MEET ENTRY POLICY
BMAC Required Home Meets:

BMAC HOSTED Meets are REQUIRED Home Meets for all swimmers unless excused by a coach.

All BMAC’s Stroke School, Torpedoes, A-Team swimmers will be automatically entered into our Home Meets. Parents can still “Accept” the meet invitation by e-mail.

Meet Entry Fees will be charged to your team account and will be due on the next monthly billing cycle.

Team members are responsible for Meet Entry Fees charged to their account. · Declining a Home Meet will result in a $50 fee added to your account.

Notify coaches prior to the entry deadline, if you cannot attend by e-mail with the reason.

Changes made to a Home Meet entry after the entry deadline will result in a $20 fee added to your account.
Away or Travel Meets:

Away Swim Meets are meets hosted by other teams.

Away Swim Meets attendance is EXPECTED for all A-Team swimmers.

Stroke School and Torpedos swimmers attendance to Away Meets is OPTIONAL.

Parents are responsible for declaring their intention to Attend the meet. · You will receive an invitation by e-mail 7 days before the entry deadline to Attend or Decline the swim meet.

You can select YES and pick your child’s events or let a coach choose the events.

If you cannot attend the meet, please use the “Decline” link.

Away Meet Entry Fees will be billed directly to your account prior to the first day of the meet and collected by our electronic billing system.

Entry into Away Meets will not be allowed unless the swimmer’s account has signed up for electronic payments in our team billing system.
Championship Meets:

Qualifying swimmers will be automatically entered into championship meets.

If you cannot attend the meet, you will need to send an e-mail to [email protected] per Swim Meet Entry Policy.

Check the Time Standards under our TeamUnify page to see if your swimmer(s) is eligible for the meet.

Events will be entered by the coaches based on swimmers qualifications for the meet.

Finals qualifiers are expected to compete in scoring finals in the evening.

Swimmers wanting to scratch to leave the meet early will be fined a minimun amount of $50 to their team account except for medical reasons.
Home Meet Entry Cancelation:
Meet entry cancellation will result in a $50 charge to your team account for failing to compete in one of our Required Home Meets. These meets are considered as a fundraising activity of BMAC.
Late Entries: Once the entry deadline has passed, and the Entry System has closed, any requests for Late Entry into a meet will incur a $20 Fee charged to your account or you must use the meet hosts Deck Entry Policy as posted in the Meet Information Letter on the Event Page.
Relays: Swimmers entered in a meet may be entered into relays by a coach. Coaches may change relays at meets based on eligible athletes and their performances.
Team Uniforms and Team Swimsuits:

All BMAC swimmers must compete in a team suit at all competitions while Swim Meet Entry Policy (updated 11/22/2023)

Swimmers may compete in a current TYR team suit or a plain black suit without a logo.

Suit information can be found in the BMAC Team Store.

BMAC is a TYR contract team, and swimmers are encouraged to compete in TYR suits.

BMAC swimmers may wear "fast suits" or "high tech" suits at championship meets only or with approval from a BMAC coach only.

BMAC swimmers must wear a team cap, if they wear a cap, during all competitions.

Swimmers must wear BMAC shirts / jackets at all meets.
-
High school t-shirts, jackets, hoodies etc. are not permitted.
At the Swim Meet:

Your child must be at the pool where the competition is being held at least 20 minutes prior to posted warm-up times.

These times are in the meet information letter on the meet page and posted on the Event Page of the swim meet.

Swimmers must sit in the designated team area.
-
Parents are not permitted to sit under the team tents unless invited by a coach to help with the younger swimmers if needed.

Swim meet information is posted on the Event Page for each meet we attend.
