SCAY Posts Strong Swims at Mid Atlantic Junior LC Champs

The SCAY team of Lily Behler, Lucas Mercier, Emme Podgurski, and Jack Wolfe had strong swims all weekend. Behler, coming back from illness, placed 45th overall in the 100m backstroke with a time of 1:14.82. Mercier dropped time in every event he swam this weekend. He achieved new personal bests in the 50m Freestyle (27.46), the 400m Freestyle (4:35.33), the 200m Freestyle (2:07.97), and the 100m Freestyle (58.77). With his time in the 100 Free, Mercier qualified for the Eastern Zone Team. Podgurski swam to a new personal best in the 200m Butterfly placing 9th overall in 2:54.02. She also placed 33rd overall in the 50m Butterfly (35.84). Wolfe swam his way to best times in the 50m Freestyle (27.02), 200m Freestyle (2:09.37), 100m Butterfly (1:03.17), and 200m Butterfly (2:24.74). Wolfe achieved a Senior qualifying time in the 200 Butterfly, dropping over 7 seconds from his time. Wolfe joins Mercier as a member of the Eastern Zone Team with qualifying times in the 50m Free, 100m Fly, and 200m Fly.
