New Swimmers:

If you're interested in joining our team for the upcoming season, please attend a tryout session as detailed below. Any questions should be directed to the coaching staff at [email protected].

Anyone who is considering joining our swim team this winter — whether they are experienced swimmers or just starting out — we would love for them to come out and give it a try! Swimming is not only a fantastic sport for fitness and health, but it’s also a wonderful opportunity for making friends and being part of our amazing Aqualion family.

Tryout Schedule:

August 1st (Friday): 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM  

August 5th (Tuesday): 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM  

August 7th (Thursday): 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM  

August 11th (Monday): 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM  

August 13th (Wednesday): 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM  

Note: Team participation is limited (numbers capped) and can potentially fill. Group placement will be determined by the coaching staff.

Reuturning Swimmer Registration

*Returning swimmers do not need to attend a tryout*

Registration will take place in person at the Y during the following times:

Monday, August 11th: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM  

Wednesday, August 13th: 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM  

Friday, August 15th: 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM  

New Swimmer Registration

We are thrilled to welcome new swimmers to our team! New swimmers must attend one of the Swim Team Tryout dates (above).

Monday, August 18th: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM  

Wednesday, August 20th: 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM  

Friday, August 22nd: 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM  

-Register your swimmer – This must be done in person at the YMCA. Practice times and registration fees are available on the team website.

-Get your gear ready – Check out the Parent Info Sheet for additional information! All gear is avaialble for purchase through our team store at D&J Sports.

Each swimmer will need some basic equipment, which varies by the swimmer's level:

Cubs:
     -swimming snorkel 
     -long fins
     -kickboard

Pride:
     -swimming snorkel 
     -long fins
     -kickboard
     -pull buoy

White:
     -swimming snorkel 
     -long fins
     -kickboard
     -pull buoy
     -strokemaker small green hand paddles

Blue/HS Blue:
     -swimming snorkel 
     -short fins
     -kickboard
     -pull buoy
     -strokemaker hand paddles (female - small green, male - yellow)

All equipment should be in a a mesh bag and brought to your lane at practice each night. Mesh bags can be stored at the Y in the bins on deck between practices.
